Life

Welcome to 2021!

Some might tell us that a new year doesn’t dictate what moves us to change or embark on new adventures. But others tell us that the new year is a great chance to start a new chapter or even, perhaps, start reading a new book in this great adventure that we call life. Whatever causes us to think of the new year as a chance to refresh, then I’m all for it.

For many, and going out on a limb here, pretty much everyone around the world would agree that this past year likely wasn’t the best for most of us. Well, that is unless you are a billionaire, then this past year was quite fantastic since you made more money than you ever have.

Anyway, back to what I’m getting at here. If one was ever looking for a better time to change things up, I feel now is the best time to do so. Granted, in many cases, we aren’t out of the woods yet when it comes to things like employment issues, the pandemic, and governmental issues. But, I do think that there is some light at the end of this tunnel and together, we’ll get there. Frankly, we don’t really have a choice. In order for things to improve in one way or another, we have to keep striving and keep kicking and fighting until we get there.

I’m not exactly a person that sets new goals at the beginning of the year because many times I don’t follow them within a short period of time. I think this year is different though. I’m likely not the only person that feels that way either. If my life had a score written for it, the musical notes would be changing right now. From a dark and questionable set to a more joyous and forward-looking journey.

Heck, wouldn’t it be wonderful if we had a score playing in our lives? Might be helpful when we didn’t quite know what we were expected to do sometimes. I know it would be quite helpful for me at least.

So here we are, the first few minutes of the new year and that means that we/I have a new set of 365 days to do something different, change things up a bit, and I think I’m going to do just that. One of the first things is introducing this brand new website of mine here.

I have, traditionally, used my website as a portfolio of the designs that I have created, but I feel now it’s time to showcase more of me and my interests. So if you have gotten this far in reading, thank you for that, and welcome to my website.
